Northland College Carbon Neutrality by 2030
Northland College has contracted AEI Affiliated Engineers from Madison to conduct a study to assess options for reducing the campus’ CO2 emissions from their current level of about 3,500 metric tons/year to net zero by 2030. It is anticipated that options for achieving this goal will be through energy efficiency improvements, incorporating large amounts of renewable energy, and additional technologies and partnerships to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels. Through this project, Northland College intends to maintain and expand its role as a national leader in campus and community sustainability. |
